Takes

The talking points you need to talk to camera.

We pore over the week’s news then hand you the questions your clients are already turning over, along with the less-obvious angles to make you stand apart as a leader in the market. You bring your phone and personality.

What arrives in your portal

Every Monday a new Take arrives for you to film.

The cards give you a challenge or concern, a summary, the source, and essential talking points, so your video content is smart, structured and engaging. We help you share an intelligent point of view, rather than simply regurgitate the news. Take a look through some examples.

Flick it sideways, or use the arrow keys.

Then you read it off the screen

Each video card turns into a prompter.

The opening line, your talking points, the line to end on, scrolling at whatever pace suits you. The bar across the top runs for three seconds, which is all you get before someone decides whether to keep watching.

You never read it word for word, and the main points are deliberately unfinished so it can really sound like you. It’s also why two finance professionals working from the same card never make the same video.

Playing

No studio required. Ring light and mic optional.

How it works

Just 20 minutes a month, from start to finish.

01

We scour the news and data sources

Broker Daily, the AFR, the ATO, the RBA, mainstream news and commentary. Whatever stories your clients will have half heard about and possibly only half understood.

02

You get a position, not a prompt

A question or concern, what other brands are likely to say, your angle, and the essential talking points. Written on the behavioural science behind the Decision Safety Map™.

03

You film it on your phone and publish

45-60 seconds, in whatever room you’re in – in-the-moment videos feel more intimate and authentic. Post it with the caption we’ve already written, and let the app do the captions on screen.

What you get

Filming it

You don’t need to film in a studio – good lighting and great insights work a charm.

Some practical tips so you can put your best face forward.

Window in front, not behind

Face a window and put the phone between you and it. Backlight turns you into a silhouette and no amount of editing gets it back.

Phone at eye height

Stack it on books until the lens is level with your eyes. Filming up your nose is the commonest mistake there is, and it reads as amateur instantly.

Look at the lens, not yourself

Your eyes will drift to your own face in the preview. Put a sticker beside the lens and talk to that. It’s the difference between addressing someone and being watched.

Start talking before you feel ready

Hit record, wait a second, then go. The first three seconds decide whether anyone bothers to stay around for the fourth, so lead with a hook rather than a greeting.

Don’t worry if it’s not perfect first go

The second take is almost always the best one. Don’t aim for perfect, aim for the authentic version where you sound like you’re talking to one client.

Let the app do the captions

Instagram, TikTok and Reels all caption automatically now and they’re good. Turn them on as you post, because most people watch with the sound off.

Your clients know you. Now it’s your prospects’ turn.

A 45 second video every week creates familiarity faster than anything else you could post.
